Q. When should I use a washable product?
Attends Washables are a range of products designed to manage light to moderate urinary incontinence
Q. What is special about Attends Washable products?
The products are designed to be discreet for clients to wear and come in an range of sizes and absorbencies. The range also includes a bed pad range.
Attends washable products comprise of Male, Female and Unisex Absorbent Brief, a children's range for boys and girls which are available in different sizes to meet client needs. The range also includes two absorbent bed pads.
The briefs look like normal underwear and have a built in absorbent pad. This allows the pad to stay in place and prevents twisting of the pad especially during the washing cycle.
The product has a waterproof vinyl backing which acts as a barrier and prevents wetness leaking on to clients clothing or bedding. A soaker layer draws urine away from the top sheet by absorbing and wicking to give improved dryness and reduce the risk of leakage. In addition MicroSafe (apart from the 2 litre bed pad), an antimicrobial fibre effectively, defends against odour and infection providing the client with greater confidence and independence.
The products are guaranteed for 300 washes and can be washed at temperatures up to 95*C. The DSS recommends that any wash over 76*C will kill bacteria and control infection.
